About This Part

A hose spigot on one end and a flat magnetic face on the other. It comes as two halves. Press a disc magnet into each pocket and the two faces pull together. Pull them apart with one hand when you want to move the hose.

Put one half on your tool port and the other on your hose. Now you swap the hose between tools with no threads to line up and no clamp to fight.

The magnet pockets open at the face, so the magnets just drop in. No glue is needed to seat one, though a dab holds it for good.

Who it is for: Anyone who moves one hose between tools all day and is tired of wrestling a friction fit.

Magnetic Quick-Disconnect Port FAQ

How do the two halves connect?+

Each half holds six disc magnets. Face them together and the magnets pull them tight. Pull them apart to disconnect. Install the magnets with opposite poles out on the two halves so they attract, not push away.

Do the magnets come with it?+

Not yet. It uses standard 10 mm by 3 mm disc magnets that drop into the pockets with a dab of glue. We can include them on request.

How strong is the hold?+

Six magnets are sized for a normal shop-vac hose. A big 4 inch hose is heavier, so add more magnets or keep a hand on it for a hard pull.
