Full port and fit detail for this tool

The Craftsman CMXXSAX69434605 is a 4 in. x 36 in. benchtop belt sander. A benchtop sander makes a steady stream of fine dust, and all of it lands on your bench or floats into your shop air.

The sander has a round dust port at the rear. A GulpDust PETG adapter fits that port on one end and your shop vac hose on the other. No tape. No clamps.

Craftsman CMXXSAX69434605 Dust Port: What Fits It

The rear dust port on this sander is round, and our adapter is made to fit it.

The bigger Craftsman benchtop sander, the 6 in. x 48 in. model, uses the same port. If you own both machines, one hose setup can serve the pair.

Hose cuffs vary by brand, so a store-bought hose often wiggles on the port or will not seat. A GulpDust adapter made for your port and your hose holds the joint.

How to Connect a Shop Vac to the Craftsman Benchtop Belt Sander

Unplug the sander first. Then wipe the dust off the rear port so the adapter can seat clean.

Press the PETG adapter into the port. It is a friction fit, so a firm push is all it takes. Then press your shop vac hose onto the other end.

Turn the vac on before the belt touches wood. A belt sander throws dust from the first second, so the vac needs to be pulling right away.

Why Benchtop Sanders Need Dust Collection

A belt sander grinds wood into very fine dust. That dust does not fall like saw chips. It floats, and it is the kind of dust that is bad to breathe.

Dust that stays on the belt also clogs the grit. Pulling it away at the port helps the belt cut better and last longer.

A sealed hookup at the rear port sends the dust into the vac instead of into the air. Any shop vac with the right adapter does the main job.

Craftsman CMXXSAX69434605 Dust Collection FAQ

Will a GulpDust adapter fit the Craftsman CMXXSAX69434605?+

Yes. The sander has a round dust port at the rear and our adapter is printed to fit it. The other end matches your shop vac hose.

Does the 6 in. x 48 in. Craftsman sander use the same port?+

Yes. The bigger benchtop model uses the same rear port, so the same adapter covers both machines.

Does this sander work with a regular shop vac?+

Yes, with an adapter. Hose cuffs vary by brand, so a hose pushed straight at the port often sits loose. A printed adapter holds the joint.

Do I need clamps to attach the adapter?+

No. The adapter is a friction fit. You press it in and it holds. The vac hose end works the same way.

Do you sell the design file?+

No. We sell the finished part. Each one is printed to order in PETG and ships from the US.
