Full port and fit detail for this tool

The Kreg K5 is a pocket-hole jig. It drills the angled holes that let screws pull two boards tight. Each hole makes a fat stream of chips, and those chips love to pack into the drill guide.

The K5 body has no molded dust port. The port is the Kreg KJDCA dust attachment. Our adapter fits that attachment on one end and steps it to the vac hose you own on the other end.

Kreg K5 Dust Port: The KJDCA Attachment Is the Port

Look at a bare K5 and you will not find a molded dust port. Kreg handles dust with a separate part, the KJDCA dust collection attachment. That attachment is the port on K3, K4, and K5 jigs.

The KJDCA takes a vacuum hose. If your shop vac hose is not the right size for it, you need a step between them.

That step is our job. A GulpDust PETG adapter is made to fit the KJDCA connection on one end and your hose on the other end.

How to Connect a Shop Vac to the Kreg K5

Fit the KJDCA attachment to the jig first. Without it there is no port to grab.

Press the tool end of the GulpDust adapter onto the KJDCA, then press your vac hose onto the other end. Both joints are friction fits, no clamps.

Turn the vac on before you drill. Chips get pulled the moment the bit makes them.

Why a Pocket-Hole Jig Clogs Without a Vac

Pocket-hole drilling makes a huge amount of chips in a very short time. The bit hogs out a deep angled hole in seconds.

Those chips have one exit, and it is right where you are working. They pack the drill guide, bury the clamp, and coat the bench.

A vac on the KJDCA port clears the guide as you drill. Cleaner holes, faster work, and no brushing out the jig between boards.

Kreg K5 Dust Collection FAQ

What size is the dust port on the Kreg K5?+

The K5 body has no molded port. The Kreg KJDCA dust attachment is the port, and our adapter is built to fit it.

Does the Kreg K5 have a built-in dust port?+

No. The jig body itself has no molded port. Dust collection comes from the KJDCA attachment, which adds the hose connection.

Does the KJDCA fit other Kreg jigs?+

Yes. The KJDCA dust attachment is the port on Kreg K3, K4, and K5 jigs. The same connection applies across those models.

My shop vac hose does not fit the KJDCA. What do I do?+

Use a step adapter. The GulpDust PETG adapter is made to fit the KJDCA on one end and your hose size on the other end. Friction fit on both sides, no tape.

Do you sell the design file?+

No. We sell the finished part. Each one is printed to order in PETG and ships from the US.
