The Makita SP6000J is the 6-1/2 inch plunge track saw. Ride it on a rail and it breaks down sheet goods straighter than most table saws. It also cuts a long line of dust the whole way down the rail.
The saw has a round dust port at the rear. A GulpDust PETG adapter fits it on one end and your vacuum hose on the other end, so the dust leaves the cut instead of settling on the sheet. No tape. No clamps.

Makita SP6000J Dust Port: What Fits It
The dust port is round and sits at the back of the saw where the bag goes. Our adapter is made to fit it.
Makita, Festool and shop vac hoses all end in different sizes, and the odds that the one on your vac seats properly on this saw are low. A hose that almost fits leaks the whole cut.

Off the Dust Bag and Onto a Vacuum
The bag that comes with a track saw is the first thing most owners give up on. It fills in a few cuts, it hangs off the back of the saw and catches on the rail, and the fine dust goes through the cloth anyway.
A vacuum on the port pulls the dust out of the kerf as the blade makes it. That is the whole difference. Less dust on the sheet means you can actually see your line.
Any decent shop vac does the job. A dust extractor does it quieter and with a better filter. Either one beats the bag by a mile.
Turn the vac on before the plunge and leave it running to the end of the rail.
Makita Track Saw Dust Collection on a Guide Rail
Rail work is where dust hurts most. Chips under the rail lift it off the sheet, and a rail that is not flat gives you a wavy cut.
So run the vac and sweep the sheet between cuts. Both take seconds and both show up in the edge.
Watch the hose. On a long rail the hose wants to drag the saw sideways or pull the adapter off the port halfway down. Loop it over your shoulder or hang it, and keep it behind the saw.
If you break down full sheets on the floor, put the vac on the same side every time so you stop fighting the hose.
