Full port and fit detail for this tool
The Ryobi PCL505B is the Ryobi ONE+ 18V Cordless 5 in. Random Orbit Sander. A sander makes fine dust that hangs in the air and gets into your lungs. Pulling it at the port keeps more of it out of the air.
The sander has a round dust port on the side. A GulpDust PETG adapter fits that port on one end and your shop vac hose on the other end. No tape. No clamps.

Ryobi PCL505B Dust Port: What Fits It
The PCL505B has a round dust port on the side. Our PETG adapter is built to fit it and holds by friction.
Dust pickup matters on a sander because the dust is so fine. It floats in the air instead of falling to the floor. A vac at the port pulls it away before you breathe it.
Most shop vac hoses are 1-7/8 in. or 2-1/2 in. Neither one presses onto a sander port on its own. The adapter takes the sander on one end and your hose on the other.
Sanding Cordless Without the Dust Cloud
A cordless sander goes wherever the work is, and the dust goes with it.
The stock bag fills fast and lets the finest powder straight through. A vac at the port catches far more of it.
It also keeps the pad clean. Less packed dust under the disc means the paper cuts longer.
How to Connect a Shop Vac to the Ryobi PCL505B
First, clear any dust out of the port. A clean port gives the best fit.
Press the tool end of the PETG adapter into the port. It is a friction fit, so it holds with a firm push. Then press your shop vac hose onto the other end of the adapter. Turn the vac on before you start to sand.
Ryobi PCL505B Dust Collection FAQ
What fits the dust port on the Ryobi PCL505B?+
Our PETG adapter does. One end presses into the sander port. The other end takes your shop vac hose.
Does the Ryobi PCL505B work with a regular shop vac?+
Yes, with the right adapter. A standard shop vac hose is wider than the Ryobi dust port. The GulpDust PETG adapter fits the tool port on one end and your vac hose on the other.
Do I need clamps or tape to attach the adapter?+
No. The adapter is a friction fit. You push it onto the port and it holds. The same goes for the vac hose end.
Do you sell the design file?+
No. We sell the finished part. Each one is printed to order in PETG and ships from the US.
