Full port and fit detail for this tool
The Bosch GCM12SD is a 12 in. dual-bevel glide miter saw. It uses the Axial-Glide arm to cut wide boards with a smooth, level stroke. A big miter saw throws a lot of chips and fine dust off the back, so a good dust hookup keeps your shop clean.
The GCM12SD has a round dust port at the rear. Our PETG adapter plugs into that port and steps it to any standard shop vac or dust extractor hose. No tape. No clamps.

Bosch GCM12SD Dust Port: What Fits It
The GCM12SD has a round dust port at the back of the saw, where the dust chute exits. Our adapter is made to fit it.
This port is wider than a small track saw port, but it still does not match most shop vac hoses. A 2-1/2 inch hose is too big to seal on it and a 1-1/4 inch hose is too small. That gap is why dust leaks when you tape a hose straight to the port.
A GulpDust adapter is printed to fit the saw port on one end and your vac hose on the other end. Pick your hose and we make the part to match.
How to Connect a Shop Vac to the Bosch GCM12SD
Clear any chips out of the rear port first. A clean port gives the best grip.
Push the tool end of the PETG adapter into the port. It is a friction fit, so it holds with a firm press. Then press your shop vac or dust extractor hose onto the other end.
Turn the vac on before you cut. Running the vac while you work pulls the dust right off the back of the saw instead of letting it pile on the bench and hang in the air.
Why Miter Saws Need Good Dust Collection
A miter saw sprays a fan of dust and chips out the back with every cut. The stock bag catches only part of it. The rest lands on the floor and floats in the air.
Pulling the dust at the port keeps your bench and floor clear and keeps more fine dust out of the air you breathe. A clean work area also means fewer chips under your stock, so your cuts sit flat and true.
For the best result, fit the adapter to the port and run a steady vac. Any shop vac with the right adapter does the main job.
Bosch GCM12SD Dust Collection FAQ
Will a GulpDust adapter fit the Bosch GCM12SD dust port?+
Yes. It is a round port at the rear of the saw, and our adapter plugs right into it. The other end matches your shop vac hose.
Does the Bosch GCM12SD work with a regular shop vac?+
Yes, with an adapter. Most shop vac hoses are 1-7/8 inch or 2-1/2 inch, and neither one seals on this port. The GulpDust PETG adapter fits the saw port on one end and your vac hose on the other.
Where is the dust port on the GCM12SD?+
It is at the rear of the saw, where the dust chute exits behind the blade. That is where you plug in the adapter and hose.
Do I need clamps to attach the adapter?+
No. The adapter is a friction fit. You press it into the port and it holds. The vac hose end works the same way.
Do you sell the design file?+
No. We sell the finished part. Each one is printed to order in PETG and ships from the US.
