DeWalt DCS520B Track Saw Dust Port Size and Vacuum Adapter Guide
The DeWalt DCS520B is a 6-1/2 in. track saw. A track saw throws a fine line of dust right where you cut. Pulling that dust at the port keeps your line clean and the air clear.
The saw has a round dust port at the rear. The inside is 31.75 mm and the outside is 32.0 mm. A GulpDust PETG adapter is sized to that port on one end and your shop vac hose on the other end. No tape. No clamps.

DeWalt DCS520B Dust Port Size: 31.75 mm Inside, Round
The dust port on the DCS520B is round. The inside measures 31.75 mm, which is the 1-1/4 in. size shared by most DeWalt cordless tools. The outside measures 32.0 mm.
Most shop vac hoses are 1-7/8 inch or 2-1/2 inch. They do not seal on a 31.75 mm port by themselves. That gap is why dust sprays out instead of going into the hose.
A GulpDust adapter is printed to match the saw port on one end and your vac hose on the other end. The fit is snug, so the dust goes where it should.
How to Connect a Shop Vac to the DeWalt DCS520B
First, clear any dust out of the port. A clean port gives the best seal.
Press the small end of the PETG adapter onto the port. It is a friction fit, so it holds with a firm push. Then press your shop vac hose onto the other end. Turn the vac on before you start the cut.
Why a Track Saw Needs Dust Collection
A track saw cuts fast and makes a lot of fine dust. That dust hangs in the air and lands on your track, where it can throw off the next cut.
Pulling the dust right at the port keeps the track clean and the air clear. You see your line, and you breathe easier.
DeWalt DCS520B Dust Collection FAQ
What size is the dust port on the DeWalt DCS520B?+
The port is round. It is 31.75 mm on the inside and 32.0 mm on the outside. That is the 1-1/4 in. size used across most DeWalt cordless tools.
Does the DeWalt DCS520B work with a regular shop vac?+
Yes, with the right adapter. A standard shop vac hose is wider than the saw dust port. The GulpDust PETG adapter fits the saw port on one end and your vac hose on the other.
Do I need clamps or tape to attach the adapter?+
No. The adapter is a friction fit. You push it onto the port and it holds. The same goes for the vac hose end.
Can I print this adapter myself?+
Yes. You can buy the printed PETG part shipped from the US, or download the STL file and print it at home. We suggest PETG with 3 walls and 25 percent infill.
