Full port and fit detail for this tool
The Festool TS 55 REQ is a track saw. The model number is 561444. It rides on a guide rail to make long, clean, straight cuts in sheet goods.
The saw has a round dust port on the rear. Festool builds its own hoses to fit it, but most shop vacs do not. A GulpDust PETG adapter fits that port and steps it to the shop vac hose you already own.

Festool TS 55 REQ Dust Port: What Fits It
The dust port on the TS 55 REQ is round and sits at the rear of the saw. Our adapter is made to fit it.
Festool builds its tools and hoses around one small size. Normal shop vacs do not. If you own a Festool extractor, its hose plugs right in. The trouble starts when you want to use a normal shop vac.
Most shop vac hoses are 1-7/8 inch or 2-1/2 inch. Both are way too big for this port. A GulpDust adapter matches the saw port on one end and your bigger vac hose on the other end, so you get a clean fit.
How to Connect a Shop Vac to the Festool TS 55 REQ Track Saw
Clear any sawdust out of the rear port first. A clean port gives the best fit.
Press the tool end of the PETG adapter into the port. It is a friction fit, so it holds with a firm push. Then press your shop vac hose onto the other end of the adapter.
Turn the vac on before you cut. A track saw pulls almost all of its dust at the blade when the vac is running, which keeps your line clean and the cut easy to follow.
Best Vacuum and Dust Extractor Setup for the TS 55 REQ Track Saw
Any shop vac works. A vac with an auto-start outlet is even better, because it turns on when the saw turns on. You do not have to flip a switch.
If you cut a lot of sheet goods, add a cyclone separator between the saw and the vac. The separator drops the heavy chips into a bucket so your vac filter stays clean longer.
Keep the hose short and straight when you can. Long, kinked hoses cut your suction and let dust settle inside.
Festool 561444 Dust Collection FAQ
Will a GulpDust adapter fit the Festool TS 55 REQ dust port?+
Yes. The port is round and sits at the rear of the saw. Our adapter is printed to fit it, and the other end matches your shop vac hose.
Does the Festool TS 55 REQ work with a regular shop vac?+
Yes, with the right adapter. Festool hoses are small, and most shop vac hoses are much larger. The GulpDust PETG adapter fits the saw port on one end and your vac hose on the other.
Do I need clamps or tape to attach the adapter?+
No. The adapter is a friction fit. You push it into the port and it holds. The vac hose end works the same way.
Do you sell the design file?+
No. We sell the finished part. Each one is printed to order in PETG and ships from the US.
Does the same adapter fit other Festool tools?+
Often yes. Festool builds around one round port across the line, like the ETS 125 EQ sander and the PS 420 jig saw. The OF 1010 router uses an oval port, so it is different. Each tool page has the adapter made for that tool.
