Full port and fit detail for this tool
The Ridgid R8832 is the Ridgid 18V Brushless Jig Saw. A jig saw throws fine dust right onto the cut line as the blade pumps up and down.
The saw has a round dust port. A GulpDust PETG adapter fits that port on one end and your shop vac hose on the other end. No tape. No clamps.

Ridgid R8832 Dust Port: What Fits It
The R8832 has a round dust port. Our PETG adapter is built to fit it and holds by friction.
Dust pickup matters on a jig saw because the dust lands right on your line. When the line is covered, you cannot follow the curve and the cut drifts. A vac at the port pulls that dust away so the line stays clear.
Most shop vac hoses are 1-7/8 in. or 2-1/2 in. Neither one presses onto a saw port on its own. The adapter takes the saw on one end and your hose on the other.
Cutting Curves With the Line in Sight
A jig saw follows whatever you can see. Cover the pencil line with dust and the blade starts wandering.
With the vac pulling at the port, the line stays open the whole cut. Tight curves get a lot easier.
Cut speed helps too. A clear kerf lets the blade clear chips instead of packing them back into the wood.
How to Connect a Shop Vac to the Ridgid R8832
First, clear any dust out of the port. A clean port gives the best fit.
Press the tool end of the PETG adapter into the port. It is a friction fit, so it holds with a firm push. Then press your shop vac hose onto the other end of the adapter. Turn the vac on before you start the cut.
Ridgid R8832 Dust Collection FAQ
What fits the dust port on the Ridgid R8832?+
Our PETG adapter does. One end presses into the saw port. The other end takes your shop vac hose.
Does the Ridgid R8832 work with a regular shop vac?+
Yes, with the right adapter. A standard shop vac hose does not seal on the saw port on its own. The GulpDust PETG adapter fits the saw port on one end and your vac hose on the other.
Do I need clamps or tape to attach the adapter?+
No. The adapter is a friction fit. You push it onto the port and it holds. The same goes for the vac hose end.
Do you sell the design file?+
No. We sell the finished part. Each one is printed to order in PETG and ships from the US.
