Full port and fit detail for this tool

The DeWalt DWS713 is a 10 inch single bevel compound miter saw. It is light for a miter saw, so it is easy to move from job to job. Every cut throws chips and fine dust off the back of the saw.

The saw has a round dust port on the rear. Our PETG adapter is made to fit it. One end grips the saw. The other end takes your shop vac hose. No tape. No clamps.

DeWalt DWS713 Dust Port: What Fits It

The dust port on the DWS713 is round and sits on the rear of the saw. Our adapter is made to fit it.

Most shop vac hoses are 1-7/8 inch or 2-1/2 inch. Neither one fits this port on its own. The small dust bag that comes with the saw catches very little, so most chips end up on the floor.

A GulpDust adapter is printed to match the saw port on one end and your vac hose on the other end. Pick your hose and we make the part to match.

How to Connect a Shop Vac to the DeWalt DWS713 Miter Saw

First, pull the dust bag off and look at the round port on the rear of the saw. Wipe out any sawdust so the adapter seats clean.

Press the tool end of the PETG adapter into the port. It is a friction fit, so it holds with a firm push. Then press your shop vac hose onto the other end.

Turn the vac on before you cut. Let it run for a second after each cut so the hose clears. This setup catches most of the dust at the saw instead of on your bench.

Best Vacuum and Cyclone Setup for the DeWalt DWS713

A miter saw throws big chips fast. A plain shop vac fills up quick and the filter clogs.

Add a cyclone separator between the saw and the vac. The separator drops the heavy chips into a bucket so your vac filter stays clean and your suction stays strong.

Keep the hose short and straight when you can. Long, kinked hoses cut your suction and let dust settle inside.

DeWalt DWS713 Dust Collection FAQ

Will a GulpDust adapter fit the DeWalt DWS713 dust port?+

Yes. The port is round and sits on the rear of the saw. Our adapter is printed to fit it, and the other end matches your shop vac hose.

Does the DeWalt DWS713 work with a regular shop vac?+

Yes, with the right adapter. A standard shop vac hose does not match this port. The GulpDust PETG adapter fits the saw port on one end and your vac hose on the other.

Do I need clamps or tape to attach the adapter?+

No. The adapter is a friction fit. You push it into the port and it holds. The same goes for the vac hose end.

Is the small dust bag enough on the DWS713?+

No. The bag catches very little. A shop vac on the port catches far more of the chips and fine dust, which keeps your shop and lungs cleaner.

Do you sell the design file?+

No. We sell the finished part. Each one is printed to order in PETG and ships from the US.

Does the same adapter fit other DeWalt miter saws?+

Sometimes. The DeWalt DWS780 and the DWS779 have close ports, but each saw is a bit different. Each tool page has the adapter made for that saw.
