The Festool RO 90 DX FEQ is a small delta sander. The model number is 571830. It gets into corners and tight spots that a round sander cannot reach. Like all sanders, it makes very fine dust that hangs in the air.
The sander has a round dust port on the side. Festool builds its own hoses to fit it, but most shop vacs do not. A GulpDust PETG adapter fits that port and steps it to the shop vac hose you already own.

Festool RO 90 DX Dust Port: What Fits It
The dust port on the RO 90 DX is round and sits on the side of the sander. Our adapter is made to fit it.
Festool builds its tools and hoses around one small size. Normal shop vacs do not. If you own a Festool extractor, its hose plugs right in. The trouble starts when you want to use a normal shop vac.
Most shop vac hoses are 1-7/8 inch or 2-1/2 inch. Both are way too big for this port. A GulpDust adapter matches the sander port on one end and your bigger vac hose on the other end, so you get a clean fit.
How to Connect a Shop Vac to the Festool RO 90 DX Delta Sander
Clear any dust out of the side port first. A clean port gives the best fit.
Press the tool end of the PETG adapter into the port. It is a friction fit, so it holds with a firm push. Then press your shop vac hose onto the other end of the adapter.
Turn the vac on before you start sanding. Dust collection on a sander is not just about a clean bench. Fine sanding dust is the kind that hangs in the air and gets into your lungs.
Why Dust Collection Matters on a Delta Sander
A delta sander makes very fine dust. That dust floats. It does not fall to the floor like saw chips do.
Pulling that dust at the port keeps more of it out of the air. It also keeps the pad clean, which helps your sandpaper last longer and cut better.
For the smoothest finish, run a steady vac while you sand. A variable speed extractor is nice, but any shop vac with the right adapter does the main job.
