Makita 18V LXT Cordless Jig Saw

Model: XVJ03Category: Jig Saw

Specifications

Full port and fit detail for this tool

The Makita XVJ03 is an 18V LXT cordless jig saw. It runs on the Makita 18V battery and cuts curves and shapes in wood and metal. When you cut, fine dust lands on your line and hides the blade.

This saw does not have a plain round dust port. It uses a proprietary nozzle, and the matching OEM part is the Dust nozzle 126331-0. A generic round adapter will not just push on. Our PETG adapter is built to fit that nozzle on one end and your shop vac hose on the other end. No tape. No clamps.

Makita XVJ03 Dust Port: What Fits It

The XVJ03 does not use a clean round port. It uses a proprietary dust nozzle shaped for this saw. The matching OEM part is the Dust nozzle 126331-0.

Because there is no round stub, a plain round adapter will not push on and fit. Most shop vac hoses are 1-7/8 inch or 2-1/2 inch, and neither one grabs a proprietary nozzle on its own. That gap is why dust blows past a taped hose and onto your cut line.

Our adapter is made for that nozzle. It grips the tool end and steps to the vac hose you own.

How to Connect a Shop Vac to the Makita XVJ03

First, fit the dust nozzle to the saw. Without it there is nothing for the hose to grab.

Press the tool end of the PETG adapter onto the nozzle. It is a friction fit, so it holds with a firm push. Then press your shop vac hose onto the other end.

Turn the vac on before you cut. A clear line is easier to follow, so your curves come out clean and you breathe less dust.

Why Jig Saws Need Good Dust Collection

A jig saw blade moves fast and drops sawdust right on top of your cut line. On a curve, that dust hides the line you need to see.

Pulling the dust at the nozzle keeps the line clear so your curves come out clean and true. It also keeps more fine wood dust out of the air you breathe.

Any shop vac with the right adapter does the main job. The fit at the nozzle is what matters most.

Makita XVJ03 Dust Collection FAQ

What size is the dust port on the Makita XVJ03?+

The saw uses a proprietary nozzle, not a round cuff. Our adapter is built to fit it. You pick the hose end you need.

Will a round shop vac adapter fit the Makita XVJ03?+

Not on its own. The port is a proprietary shape, so a plain round adapter will not push on and fit. Use a GulpDust adapter made for this nozzle.

It is the Makita dust nozzle for the XVJ03, the proprietary attachment made for this saw. You can find it on the XVJ03 parts diagram.

Can GulpDust make an adapter for this saw?+

Yes. Our PETG adapter fits the XVJ03 nozzle on one end and steps to your shop vac hose on the other end.

Do you sell the design file?+

No. We sell the finished part. Each one is printed to order in PETG and ships from the US.
